Red Chillies Help Shed Flab
Spice up your diet with red chillies and you can loose few unwanted pounds around your waist.
A recent study conducted by food scientist Stephen Whiting from Manchester Metropolitan University have found that red chillies help burn fat.
Adding red chillies in the diet have threefold effect. It helps by burning fat, suppressing hunger pangs and by boosting overall calorie-burning rate by speeding up the body's overall metabolism, the rate at which a person burns calories.
"Capsaicin" is the key chemical component that gives the required heat to the red chillies does the trick. Capsaicin triggers an adrenalin rush that directs the brain specifically to burn fat cells. This process mainly attacks the midriff fats which is primarily responsible for various heart diseases.
“If you eat chillies consistently for a good period of time, it will help you lose weight” The Sun quoted Mr Whiting as saying.
